Hexennacht (hex-en-ah-ct) is a day honored by Satanists around the world every year on April 30th. It is a day focused on remembering those who have been harmed or even killed in events like the Salem Witch Trials, where several teenage girls were murdered after people claimed they were witches.
This day is also focused on discussing modern witch hunts and panics that happen today, from the hateful attacks against transgender people as "creeps that are coming for our kids," to the banning of books that Church leaders hate and want to prevent anyone from reading.
Those who participate in Hexinnacht will often gather together, sometimes dressing as witches, to discuss modern witch hunts and how they can be stopped. By coming together, we are working to stop hateful witch hunts from hurting other people and ourselves in the future.
