So you want to become a Satanist? Many choose to identify with Satanism for all sorts of reasons. Though as long as joining Satanism is your own decision, and no one is forcing you, then we are happy to show you how to become a Satanist!
WHAT IS SATANISM?
Satanism is NOT believing in Satan. Instead, Satanism is about worshipping YOU, taking care of YOU, and being who YOU are no matter who tries to shame you. When we say "Hail Satan," we are saying "Hail Me!" or "Hail You!"
Satan is not real, instead he’s a symbol we use to remind us that we control ourselves and our own destiny. You ever see a movie where someone has a devil on their shoulder giving them advice? That is how we imagine Satan. The symbol of Satan inspires us and motivates us to get smarter and improve who we are.
Many have become Satanists for various reasons, from wanting to take back control of their lives, to dealing with trauma from Christianity. Whether you want to become a Satanist is up to you, and no good Satanist will ever push you to become one of them. There is no shame in being a Satanist, Muslim, Christian, or even not religious at all!
SATANISM PROMOTES:
- Being independent; dressing how you want, respecting those who respect you, and identifying with your preferred-name and pronouns.
- Seeking knowledge; following new scientific discoveries, learning about ourselves and our peers, and studying things we're interested in.
- Protecting your body; washing yourself, getting vaccinated, blocking bad touches, and keeping distance from those who make you uncomfortable.
- Following your own path; following trends only because you want to, and thinking for yourself instead of believing everything you hear.
SATANISM DENOUNCES:
- Hurting children; spanking or beating children is wrong and abusive.
- Incompetence; constantly lying, being rude, getting angry at the smallest things.
- Bigotry; hating and bullying people just because of their skin color, gender/sex, identity, and more.
The 8 Orders are the main rules of Satanism, written back in 2025, and has been updated a couple of times since.
These rules are about being kind to people who treat you kindly, standing up for yourself and others when something is unfair, protecting your body from unwanted touches, trusting real science instead of supernatural myths, admitting when you make a mistake, and always trying to learn more about yourself and the world around you.
The 8 Faults are the DO NOTs of Satanism, written back in 2025 by the same group that wrote The 8 Orders.
"SHOULD I KEEP MY RELIGION HIDDEN?"
If you believe that you are safe to tell your parents things without them threatening you with hell or punishment, then you can feel comfortable telling them about it!
